We have a team of twelve staff based in the same office at Barrow-in-Furness, all concentrating solely on letting & maintaining houses for our landlords and ensuring the tenants needs are met. Weekly meetings and constant communication ensures in most cases you will be able to ask any of the team to help you. However with a large portfolio of property it is often best to speak with the person handling your specific request.
We have given a brief introduction to what each of us handles to help you pick the right person to talk to. A busy office means it is often helpful to send an email that we can come back to and record. Much of the work we do do revolves around negotiation and as such our role is often difficult, we always aim to ensure landlords and tenants are dealt with fairly, honestly and with courtesy and request the same respect back. We do not tolerate rude or aggressive behaviour from any customer and respectfully request that this is avoided, we are here to help and will enjoy doing so.
Owner and Director
Shaun has lived in the area all his life and has an invaluable knowledge of the local areas, properties & industry as well as contacts in many of the local firms. Shaun deals with our extensive website & internet marketing, allocation of incoming funds (rent), valuation of new properties, moving people in and out, general problem solving and compliance. Shaun has completed the level 3 Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management.
Owner and Director
Steve has worked in advertising and specialised in property, building a good relationship with all the local estate agents. Owning the company with Shaun, Steve handles the bulk of the accounts and landlord payments, overseas landlords, valuation of new properties, moving people in and out, general problem solving and compliance. Steve has completed the level 3 Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management.
CURRENTLY ON MATERNITY LEAVE UNTIL EARLY 2018. Anne (Shaun's wife) handles the lions share of our new enquiries from prospective tenants as well as helping keep our internet marketing up to date. Anne maintains a close relationship with all our clients currently looking for homes and is here to help tenants find a home and landlords the right tenant. Anne will be going on to maternity leave Mid May 2017 returning early 2018, our new staff member Sophie Mellor will be filling Annes position whilst she is away.
Kayleigh currently works three days a week and provides support to the entire team assisting with a large range of duties. Predominantly Kayleigh assists with maintenance and general enquiries. Kayleigh assists Shaun chasing outstanding arrears, she also organises installation of Carbon Monoxide and smoke alarms.
Predominantly Iesha handles general enquiries and maintenance issues. Iesha organises all pat test certificates and also helps with the review & upload of new marketing photos and maintenance of the internet marketing.
Office Team Leader
Our front office is very busy with constant enquiries from here Daryn supports the whole office team as a team leader whilst both Shaun and Steve spend a large amount of time on appointments outside of the office. Daryn also oversees all of our maintenance and repairs with Kayleigh, Victoria and Iesha. He organises the gas safety checks required for all of our homes helping ensure safety and compliance.
Adam deals with the bulk of our administration predominantly processing new applications, arrangement of move in/out appointments, leases and notices. Adam deals with the bulk of our corporate and Royal Navy tenancies from application and invoicing through to notice and check out working with relocation companies from around the world. This is a large task and you should ask for Adam or Laura if you are chasing the progress of an application. This is for both corporate and private applications and tenancies.
Laura deals with the bulk of our administration with Adam, predominantly Laura processes new applications for private tenants this includes everything from referencing to completing credit checks and organising the start of your tenancy with us. We usually have anything from 15 up to 30 new applications going through at any one time and you should ask for Adam or Laura if you are chasing the progress of applications.
Emma works part time helping with the filing and scanning of documents. Leases and inventories are now scanned as standard and then saved onto our system for save storage and quick retrieval.
Working with Anne three days a week Steph helps with new enquiries from prospective tenants as well as helping keep our internet marketing up to date. Working to prepare the houses for new customers Steph also completes the bulk of our inventories and "pre-move in" checks.
Predominantly Victoria handles general enquiries and maintenance issues from our main front office. Victoria also organises all private tenancy renewals for clients to ensure everything is in place as each tenancy renews.
Sophie joined the team to provide maternity cover for Anne. Sophie will predominantly deal with all of our new enquiries and keep close contact with clients old and new assisting them in finding new suitable properties to let. Sophie will keep our internet marketing up to date as well as adding new properties as and when they become available.
Office Administration Apprentice
Katie works full time predominantly helping Adam and Laura with administration whilst completing an apprenticeship. Katie processes the admin for customers moving in and out and informs the various utilities of occupancy changes she also assists with standard communications such as statements and valuation letters.
